Literacy
We are continuing to work on our summarizing skills by reading scientific articles and identifying Important Details. Today we read and article on the Frank Slide. As well we are continuing on past Chapter 56 of The Wild Robot.
Math
Today we started reviewing and expanding upon our understanding of place value.
Inquiry
Today we started discussing the rock cycle, starting with Igneous rocks. The students asked the question, "How are Igneous rocks formed?" After we read a book, watched a video, and had a class discussion, students were challenged to represent their understanding using an Exit Pass to guide and assess their work.
