Willy Wonka at William D. Pratt
On Tuesday, May 15th the Grade 2 classes will be walking up to William D Pratt to watch the play Willy Wonka performed by their students.
We will leave the school at approximately 9:30am to be ready for the 10:00am performance. The play is 75 minutes long.
Please ensure that your child is appropriately dressed for this short walk.

All week we have been experimenting with buoyancy. Students have done experiments on the following concepts:

Anne of Green Gables
Today we finished Anne of Green Gables. Ask your child how it ended, next week each student will write the next chapter.
Math
We have been exploring the open number line, using blocks to solve subtraction questions. Today we gave the students a couple of subtraction problems such as:
If Mrs. Pepper is 34 and her niece Sonya is 5, how old was Mrs. Pepper when Sonya was born?
Students had to build the numbers out of blocks, record the numbers on paper and then show their strategy for solving the problem.
