Tuesday, November 13 - Plebiscite and more

Math
In math we are working on unitizing various numbers of items in a grocery store and making equations using repeated addition and multiplication. Below is the image we have been using to group items and calculate totals and groups.

Plebiscite
Today is the Olympic Plebiscite and our school is a voting station. Because this event is an important opportunity to demonstrate democracy and debate, our students took part in a discussion about the potential of Calgary hosting the Olympics and we held a classroom vote to determine where students stand on the issue.

Here is our results.

Here is our ballot.
